Privacy Policy — BioArcade
Last updated: 3 October 2026 (the backup of your progress to your own iCloud on iPhone) Applies to: the BioArcade mobile game ("the Game") for Android and iOS. Published by: BioStudio, Türkiye ("we", "us"). Contact: bilalsanli129@gmail.com
The short version
BioArcade does not collect anything about you: we have no servers and no analytics, and nothing the Game stores ever reaches us. Two things leave your phone, and neither of them reaches us: the advertising, and a backup of your progress in your own account - on Android your Google account, through Google Play Games, and on iPhone your own iCloud.
The Game has no accounts of its own, no servers and no analytics. Your progress lives on your phone. On Android, in versions of the Game that include it, it is also backed up to your own Google account through Google Play Games, so that deleting the Game or changing phone does not lose it - Settings → Account says "Progress backed up" while that is happening on your phone. On iPhone it is also kept in your own iCloud, through Apple's iCloud key-value storage, with no sign-in and no prompt, so that deleting the Game or changing iPhone does not lose it either. We cannot read either backup. The Backup of your progress section below says exactly what goes where, and how to delete it.
There is exactly one advert: a rewarded video you choose to watch, when you have died, to carry on the run. There is no advertising anywhere else, no banners, and nothing that interrupts play. That video is served by Google AdMob, and AdMob collects some information about your device in order to serve it. The Advertising section below says precisely what, why, and how to stop it.
The video is fetched from AdMob in the background while you play, so that it is ready the moment you want it - which means that request, and the information listed below, reaches AdMob whether or not you go on to watch it.
What is stored on your device
The Game saves your progress in a file inside its own private storage. There is no name, email address or phone number in it. It contains:
- your high score and your best score in each mini game
- your gold and gem balances
- which characters, outfits and mini games you have unlocked
- what you have bought, with the date and the price, and whether you have used your one return (see the Terms of Use)
- which achievements you have earned and collected
- your daily reward streak and daily quest progress
- play statistics: how many times you have opened the Game and played a run, your total score, your total play time and the other counters the achievements read, kept separately for each installation so that the backup can add your phones together
- your settings: chosen language, sound and music volume, vibration on or off, and whether control hints are shown
- a locally generated score table used to show a leaderboard when the Game is offline. The other names on that table are invented by the Game itself and are not real people.
- a random code the Game makes up for each installation, so that the backup can tell your phones apart. It is not tied to you, to your phone's hardware or to any advertising ID.
- if you use the backup on Android, your Play Games player ID, so the Game knows whose backup it is. It stays on this phone and is not part of the backup. If a different Play Games account signs in on the same phone, the previous account's progress is kept aside on the phone, so that nothing is lost when that account comes back.
The file itself stays on your phone. The only copy that leaves it is the backup described next, which goes to your own account - Google Play Games on Android, iCloud on iPhone - and never to us. We cannot read either the file or the backup, and we cannot recover them.
Backup of your progress
On Android, in versions of the Game that include it, the Game uses Google Play Games Services. If your phone is already signed in to Google Play Games, the Game signs in by itself when it opens: there is no prompt and nothing to tap. It then keeps a copy of your save - your progress, your gold and gems, what you own, your play statistics and your settings - as a Play Games saved game in your own Google account, where Google stores it in the hidden app-data area of your Google Drive. If your phone has no Play Games profile you are asked nothing, your progress stays on the phone only, and you can still sign in later from Settings → Account. Settings → Account says "Progress backed up" while the backup is working; a version of the Game without the backup offers no sign-in there at all.
To do this, Google processes your Play Games player ID and gamer name, as well as the save itself. Google's own saved-games screen also shows your total play time and total score beside the Game's name, which is how Play Games labels a saved game. The Game shows the name in Settings and uses the player ID only to tell whose backup is whose; it sends neither of them to us or to anybody else.
Like any app that uses Play Games, the Play Games software on your phone may also send Google information about the app and how it performs, such as crash and diagnostic data. That goes to Google under its own privacy policy, and none of it reaches us. What Google does as the provider of Play Games is set out there: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Google gives games no way to sign you out of Play Games, so the Game cannot switch the backup off by itself. Play Games is managed in Google's own settings, and a phone with no Play Games profile is not backed up unless you sign in from Settings → Account.
On iPhone, the Game keeps a copy of your save - the same things as on Android - in your own iCloud, through Apple's iCloud key-value storage, a small storage area Apple gives each app for data of this kind. There is no sign-in, no prompt and nothing to switch on: the Game uses whichever Apple Account the iPhone is signed in to. If the iPhone is not signed in to iCloud, your progress stays on the phone and is sent once it is. On a new install the first copy is made a couple of minutes after the Game first opens. Because there is no sign-in, Settings → Account on iPhone shows no account and no backup status; the summary under Settings → Legal says that your progress is backed up to your own iCloud.
To do this, Apple stores the save in your iCloud and keeps it in step between your devices signed in to the same Apple Account. Each installation of the Game keeps its own copy there, named with the random code described above, and the Game adds those copies together. Apple handles it under its own privacy policy, and none of it reaches us: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
We have no access to the backup, on either system. It is kept in your account, not in ours; there is no server of ours in between, and we can neither read it, change it nor restore it. What goes up is the save file described above, without the few entries that only concern one phone.
While the backup is on, deleting the Game no longer loses your progress: install it again, or install it on a new phone signed in to the same account - the same Play Games account on Android, the same Apple Account on iPhone - and your progress comes back by itself shortly after the Game opens. Without the backup - an Android phone with no Play Games profile, or an iPhone not signed in to iCloud - uninstalling the Game deletes your progress.
The copy is updated as you play: when a run ends, shortly after you buy or change something, and when you leave the Game.
Permissions the Game asks for
- Internet access. Used to download the rewarded advert, to back up your progress (see above) and to reach the store for purchases. The game itself, and everything else, works entirely offline.
- Motion sensor (accelerometer). Used only to steer in the mini games that are played by tilting the phone. These readings are used in the moment and are never stored or transmitted.
- Vibration. Used only for short buzzes on taps and at moments in play such as a crash. It sends and stores nothing, and it can be switched off in Settings → Vibration.
The Game does not ask for your contacts, your photos, your location, your microphone or your camera.
Advertising
The rewarded video is served by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited). It is shown only when you ask for it; the Game never opens an advert by itself. So that it can start the moment you ask, the Game fetches one from AdMob in advance: when it opens, and again after each video is watched.
When the Game fetches an advert, and when one is shown, AdMob processes:
- an identifier for your device - on Android the resettable advertising ID; on an iPhone one that belongs only to this developer's apps, because the Game never asks iOS for permission to track and so never receives the iPhone's advertising ID. Neither is your name
- your IP address, and from it roughly which country you are in
- device and app information: model, operating system version, the app's name and version, language
- events about the advert: whether it was shown, watched or tapped
These are used to serve the advert, prevent fraud and measure it. We have no access to any of it; only anonymous totals reach us. How Google uses this data is set out in their own notice: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
The choice is yours. Players in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown Google's consent form the first time the Game opens, where personalised advertising can be accepted or refused. If you refuse you will see either a non-personalised advert or no advert at all - and either way the whole Game stays open to you and you lose nothing. You can change that choice at any time from Ad preferences in the settings screen.
Wherever you are, your phone can also switch it off: on Android Settings → Google → Ads, on iOS Settings → Privacy → Tracking.
Other third-party services
Besides AdMob, the Game uses:
- Google Play Games Services (Android, in versions that include the backup) - to sign in and to keep the backup of your progress described above.
- Apple iCloud key-value storage (iPhone) - to keep the backup of your progress described above in your own iCloud.
- Google Play Billing / Apple In-App Purchase - for the optional purchases in the shop. The store runs the payment end to end; we never see or store card details.
The Game contains no analytics provider. Some planned features would bring more services in. If any of them ships, this policy is updated first, the store listing's data safety declaration is updated with it, and where the law requires it you are asked before anything is collected:
- Google Play Games leaderboards and achievements - so that your scores and achievements are kept by Google too.
- Firebase Analytics - for anonymous statistics about how the Game is played.
Children
The Game is for a general audience and is not directed at children. That is also the audience declaration we make on Google Play and the App Store. It contains no chat, no user-generated content, no social features and no links out to other services except the two documents linked in its Settings, and the store's own order history, which the purchase history opens.
We collect nothing, from children or from anybody else. Two flows of data leave the phone, and neither reaches us: the advertising described above, which starts when the Game fetches its first video, in the background as it opens; and the backup, which on Android goes to the phone's own Google Play Games account together with the diagnostics Play Games itself sends Google, and on iPhone to the iCloud of the Apple Account the phone is signed in to. If you are under 13 we would rather you did not watch the advert.
We do not ask anybody to prove their age, because doing so would mean collecting data about them.
Your rights
Because we keep no record about you, there is no file for us to show you, correct or delete. You are nonetheless in control of everything the Game has stored, on your phone and in its backup:
- Delete it from inside the Game: Settings → Account → Delete my data, then tap again to confirm. This erases your save on that phone and your backup as it stands at that moment - on Android in your Google Play Games account, on iPhone in your iCloud. If the backup cannot be reached right then - with no connection, for example - the phone is wiped straight away and the backup is erased the next time the Game reaches it, before anything else is backed up, so keep the Game installed and open it once while online. That only works once the Game has reached your backup from this phone: right after a reinstall, before your progress has come back, it does not know the backup is there yet, so open it once while online (and, on Android, signed in) and wait for your progress to return before you delete. Any other device using the same backup still has your progress - on Android a phone signed in to the same Play Games account, on iPhone a device signed in to the same Apple Account - and the next time it backs up it puts that progress back into the backup, and from there it comes back to this phone too. To remove it for good, first use Delete my data (or uninstall the Game) on every other device using that account, and delete on this one last. One-time purchases made with real money stay with your store account and come back with Restore purchases in the shop; gold and gems that are deleted do not come back.
- Remove the Game: uninstalling deletes the save on the phone. It does not delete the backup, on Android or on iPhone - keeping your progress through a reinstall is what the backup is for. To remove both, use Delete my data first.
- Delete the backup without the Game: on Android, the Game's saved data can be deleted from your Play Games profile or your Google account. On iPhone the copy is in your iCloud, which is managed in Apple's own settings (Settings → your name → iCloud); a small key-value copy like this one may not appear there as something you can delete on its own. Either way, deal with every other device that still has the Game on that account first, or its next backup puts the progress back. The dependable way, on both systems, is to install the Game again, open it once while online (and, on Android, signed in), wait for your progress to come back, and use Delete my data.
- The advertising side: change your consent from Settings → Ad preferences, and reset your phone's advertising ID in its own settings. Requests about what AdMob holds go to Google; none of it ever reaches us.
Your Play Games profile, and anything Google keeps with it such as scores and achievements, belongs to your Google account and is managed and deleted in Google's own settings, not here. In the same way, your Apple Account and your iCloud belong to Apple and are managed in Apple's own settings.
Under Turkish law (KVKK) and, where it applies to you, the GDPR, you have rights of access, correction, deletion and objection. We hold no personal data: nothing the Game handles ever reaches us. Google is the controller for anything the advertising collects, and the backup is kept in your account under the provider's own privacy policy - Google's on Android, Apple's on iPhone. If you believe something is wrong, write to us at the address above and we will answer.
Security
Your save file is held in the Game's private storage, which other apps on your phone cannot read. The backup travels encrypted between your phone and Google on Android, or Apple on iPhone, and is kept in your own account, protected by that account's sign-in - your Google account, or your Apple Account. We run no server, so there is no server of ours that can be breached.
Changes to this policy
If the Game starts collecting anything more, or anything above changes in a way that matters, this policy will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change. The update of the Game that brings such a change says so in its store release notes ("What's new"), and the summary under Settings → Legal always describes the version you have installed.
